Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary
In 1980, a 1,252-square-nautical-mile portion of the Santa Barbara Channel was given a special protected status with the designation of the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary. The sanctuary is an area of national significance because of its exceptional natural beauty and resources. It encompasses the waters that surround Anacapa, Santa Cruz, Santa Rosa, San Miguel and Santa Barbara Islands, extending from mean high tide to six nautical miles offshore around each of the five islands. The sanctuary's primary goal is the protection of the natural and cultural resources contained within its boundaries.

Sail Channel Islands
Sail Channel Islands is the premier sailboat charter operation on the Ventura coast of California. And Captain Dan is the area's favorite sailing skipper. We offer charter sailing experiences for you, your friends and family departing from Ventura Harbor that run from 2 hours to several days. Sail Channel Islands also provides private sailing lessons in an American Sailing Association (ASA) school that take you from a novice sailor to a competent skipper at your own pace. Our other sailing services in Ventura include weddings and funerals at sea.

Scarlett Belle Cruises
The Scarlett Belle is a newly constructed Paddlewheel Riverboat; 87' long by 30' wide with a draw of 3 feet‚ designed for charter cruises in the Channel Island Harbor. She has two levels with outside walk rounds on both decks‚ where you can stroll and take in the sights. The downstairs level is fully enclosed with arched French windows and one grand back window. From that vantage point you can see through the dual red paddles as they move through the water. The lower deck is wide and has a professional sound and lighting system for dancing and can be easily equipped for projections for corporate meetings or a family photomontage. Heated and air conditioned throughout she provides the utmost comfort. Lighting is elegant and reflects the glass crystal on the tables. The main bar is situated in the lower level deck.

Channel Islands National Park
Site Description: Comprised of five of the eight California Channel Islands, Channel Islands National Park & Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, administered by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is home to a wide variety of nationally and internationally significant natural and cultural resources. Over 2,000 terrestrial plants and animals can be found within the park. One hundred and forty-five of these are unique to the islands and found nowhere else in the world. Marine life ranges from microscopic plankton to the endangered blue whale, the largest animal to live on earth. In addition to the abundance of natural resources, historical and cultural resources include over 200 documented shipwrecks and numerous Chumash Native American sites and artifacts. Tour Description: Leave Channel Islands Harbor in the early morning aboard an Island Packers boat, an authorized concsessionare to the Channel Islands National Park.

Tour Description: Offers: Day Trips, Multi Day Trips, Island Camping, Island Kayaking, School Marine Education Programs, Whale Watching. Day trips range from a 3 1/2 hr non-landing tour to Anacapa Island or an all day early morning departure to visit Anacapa, Santa Cruz(East or West), Santa Rosa, or Santa Barbara Island. All day trips range in time with approximately 3-4 hrs to hike, kayak, picnic, or snorkel on these special islands. A National Park Service Ranger or an Island Packers Naturalist will provide interpretation regarding the natural and cultural history.
